# Reports

> Read live work-order operations and distinguish modeled reliability, downtime, and OEE analysis.

Reports gives planners and leaders a shared view of maintenance activity. The current tabs use two distinct data sources: Operations reads live work-order records, while Reliability, Downtime, and OEE use stable modeled datasets.

<Warning>
  Use **Operations** for current organizational work-order facts. Treat values in **Reliability**, **Downtime**, and **OEE** as modeled analysis until the tab identifies connected operational inputs.
</Warning>

## Operations report

Operations calculates these values from work orders visible to the current user:

* Current open and overdue counts
* Work orders created and completed in the selected period
* Completion rate: completed in the period divided by created in the period
* Average time from creation to completion
* Status counts and active-work priority mix
* Daily created and completed trend
* The ten most overdue accessible work orders

## Change the date range

1. Open **Reports > Operations**.
2. Choose **Last 7 Days**, **Last 30 Days**, **This Month**, **Last Month**, or **All Time**.
3. Review period-based KPIs and the trend.
4. Open an overdue row or use **View all** to investigate the underlying work.

Current open, overdue, status, and active-priority views describe the accessible operational state. Created, completed, completion-rate, and completion-time metrics use the selected period.

## Reliability and downtime tabs

These tabs currently present a fixed modeled dataset for exploring reliability patterns, failure mix, downtime reasons, cost, and historical improvement. Their values are illustrative analysis, separate from the organization's complete live asset history.

Ask Canary can query recorded asset status history for supported failure, downtime, MTBF, and uptime questions. Verify the returned records and date range separately from the modeled report tabs.

## OEE tab

OEE presents a modeled Availability × Performance × Quality breakdown when representative inputs are loaded. A setup-required state explains the cycle-count and defect data needed for real Performance and Quality factors.

## Reporting discipline

* Confirm the active tab and date range before sharing a value.
* Open source work orders behind Operations results.
* Label exported or discussed modeled values as modeled.
* Record asset status changes and downtime reasons consistently to improve live history available elsewhere in Canary.
